I am a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where I work in the Computational Biology Lab under the supervision of Dr. Jianhua Ruan .

My research lies at the intersection of machine learning, deep learning, and computational biology 🧬, with a particular focus on CRISPR base editing efficiency and outcome prediction. I develop and evaluate data-driven models for genomic sequence analysis, aiming to improve the accuracy and reliability of genome editing technologies.

More broadly, I am interested in applying machine learning to impactful real-world problems in healthcare, genomics, and industry. My experience spans multiple areas, including computer vision, natural language processing, and biomedical data analysis.

I received my M.Sc. in Computer Science from Allameh Tabataba’i University, where I ranked first among graduate students. My thesis focused on breast cancer survival prediction using a hybrid ensemble learning model. I was also recognized as the Best Young Researcher and Best Teaching Assistant during my master’s studies.

Before that, I completed an MBA in Finance at the University of Tehran, and my B.Sc. in Software Engineering at Eyvanekey University.

Please visit my publications, CV, and projects pages for more details about my work.
